VDA 5 – Capability of Measurement Processes

This two-day training covers all topics related to test process suitability according to VDA Volume 5.
Various standards and guidelines contain requirements to determine and account uncertainties measurement. Thus, organizations are confronted with many questions upon establishing and certifying their quality management system.
VDA Volume 5 describes how to comply with these requirements: e.g. by correct selection of test equipment, internal determination of calibration uncertainty or continuous monitoring of test processes.

Course Details

Knowledge of the procedures for test equipment capability or measurement system analysis.

Participants understand the approach of the VDA 5 capability of measurement process and the differences between VDA 5 and MSA.

Explaining how to use the methods specified in VDA Volume 5 in your practical environment.
Being able to recognize and calculate the influencing variables on test process suitability.
Understand the differences between VDA 5 and the MSA of the AIAG.
Being confident in selection of criteria for the procurement of measuring and test equipment.
Understanding the EN V 13005 (GUM) and EN ISO 14253 T1.
Being able to demonstrate measurement system and measurement process suitability and know how extended measurement uncertainties are considered at the specification limits.
Knowing how attributive characteristics are tested as well as how measurement software is validated.

At the end of the training, you will receive a certificate of attendance.
