ISO 26000:2017 is a guidance document for Social Responsibility. ISO 26000 defines Social Responsibility as the responsibility of an organization to study the impact of its decisions and activities on society, the environment through transparent and ethical behavior. It defines that it contributes to the health and welfare of society through sustainable development. In other words, Social Responsibility is at a cross-section of the environment, health and safety of its employees, ethical behavior, and Sustainable Development. It is made up of the following seven Core Subjects. Each of these subjects has its own sub-parts.
