Lean Six Sigma Strategy Implementation – How do you get started?

Working with your leadership team, Omnex initially conducts a discovery activity at your site to understand your current system, interview personnel, and engage leadership to define your goals and objectives for lean and six sigma. Focusing on cost reductions from the quality and throughput improvements, we develop a multi-faceted implementation plan with metrics, that will realize improvements and will sustain your six sigma program after Omnex is gone. This includes training, coaching, consulting, and working with your team to select projects that will deliver improvements and provide the six sigma experience so that you can continue to sustain these programs on your own without our assistance, or on an as-needed basis. 

The focus of lean is to improve overall "speed" of product moving through your system from receiving to shipping; eliminating waste in the process. While Six Sigma applies statistical tools focused at reducing variation that contributes to the waste and thereby improving process capability and overall Quality.  The two programs can be integrated or standalone. Both delivering improvements directly to the bottom line.

The goal of Lean and Six Sigma is cost savings through operational excellence. On their own, Lean programs improve Productivity, Cost, Lead Time, Inventory, and Space Utilization by 20% to 50%.
