Although no official date has been announced, the PPAP Fourth Edition is expected to be released in the first part of 2006. Information presented at the 2005 Autotech conference indicates that the PPAP Fourth edition will have 10 major changes including revisions to reflect techniques found in the Automotive Process Approach. In addition, there are to be several significant changes to the customer submission requirements and PSW forms. These changes could have a major effect on an organization's PPAP practices.

Organizations registered to ISO/TS 16949:2002 who supply to the US Big 3 will only have three months to implement the changes once PPAP Fourth Edition has been officially released.

This course provides a clear and concise description of what major changes in PPAP Fourth edition have disseminated, an overview of existing customer specific requirements and the proposed changes, and some ways in which participants can implement the proposed major changes without great disruption to their existing PPAP processes.

About the Presenter

Chuck Wadowski is a certified Lead Auditor who specializes in Total Quality Management Principles and Quality Management System Implementation Strategies. He has assisted more than 75 manufacturing companies in the design, development, and implementation of effective TQM programs. He has personally trained over 5,000 people in TQM principles, including Design, Development, and Implementation of Quality Management Systems, and provided training in Core Tools such as APQP/Control Plan, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and Internal Auditing.

Mr. Wadowski received his Associates in Business Administration from Worcester Junior College, is a Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB)-certified Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor (Certificate No. Q-06251), an AIAG QS-9000 certified Quality Systems Auditor, and is certified by the International Automotive Task Force as an International Qualified Automotive Auditor (Certificate No. 2US-04-1105).
