ISO 9001:2008 Transition Training With a Focus on Implementation
Cost: $149
Many of our customers are encountering unpleasant surprises when they are audited
to ISO 9001:2008 this year. Like many others, they have been told that there are
no changes to ISO 9001:2008, so they have not taken a close look at their ISO 9001:2008
implementation.
Why are so many organizations receiving nonconformities in their ISO 9001:2008 audits?
To understand the ISO 9001:2008 changes better, let's see if you know the answers
to these three questions:
- There are no changes made to ISO 9001:2008. True or False?
- If there are
no changes made, then there should be no changes required in our QMS. True or False?
- Auditors will not need to issue any nonconformities to systems compliant with ISO
9001:2008 when auditing for ISO 9001:2008. True or False?
- TRUE - ISO 9001:2008 has been developed in order to introduce clarifications
to the existing requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and changes that are intended to improve
compatibility with ISO 14001:2004.
- FALSE - If your interpretations
when implementing ISO 9001:2008 were different from the clarifications of ISO 9001:2008,
you will have to remedy it in your current implementation.
- FALSE - If the implementation is counter to the clarifications provided in ISO 9001:2008,
the internal and/or Third Party auditors will need to issue nonconformities.
Most organizations will need to make changes to their systems to satisfy the ISO
9001:2008 changes and clarifications. IRCA has provided guidelines to auditors on the implications of the ISO 9001:2008
changes. Some of the large registrars have also done the same.
The Omnex ISO 9001:2008 Transition Training with a Focus on Implementation will
explain the ISO 9001:2008 changes and the IRCA guidelines for auditors. We will then help you understand
the next steps you will have to take to get your company ready for ISO 9001:2008.
The good news is that - for the most part - it will not be difficult. However, you
will need to know what the differences are and make changes to your QMS in order
to comply.
We will provide you a Stage I (document review) and Stage II ISO 9001:2008 checklist
to aid you in your efforts to achieve conformity to ISO 9001:2008. These are the
same checklists that an auditor may use during your audit, so you will be able to
look at your system from an auditor's point of view. The following topics will be
covered in the online seminar:
- ISO 9001:2008 - Philosophy, Principles, Concepts, and How to Apply to a QMS
- Key Differences Between ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2008 - Implications of the Differences
- The implications of these changes to your QMS
- Conducting a Document Review for
ISO 9001:2008
- RABQSA, IRCA and ISO/TC 176 Requirements for an Auditor and the
Implications for Internal Auditors
- Transition Deadlines and Selected Registrar's
Requirements
- Question and Answer Session with Chad Kymal
- Upon completion
of a short 10-20 question exam, attendees will receive an ISO 9001:2008 Transition
Training certificate
Cost: $149
