A one-day seminar designed to help you integrate ISO 14001 into ISO/TS 16949:2002 by comparing and contrasting environmental and quality management system requirements. Participants will realize the applicability of various QMS tools in EMS, as well as examine the overlap and differences of the elements and their requirements.

Designed for Quality Managers and Environmental Professionals seeking the most efficient method of integrating international quality and environmental management system requirements.

Recommended Training and/or Experience

At least an introductory understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO/TS-16949:2002 or ISO 9001:2000 is required, a professional understanding is preferred.

  • Focus on the requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO/TS 16949:2002
  • Examine the EMS and QMS dynamics that allow ease of integration.

About ISO/TS 16949:2002 - The International Quality System Standard for Automotive Suppliers
ISO/TS 16949:2002 specified the quality system requirements for the design / development, production, and (where relevant) installation and servicing of automotive related products. The ISO/TS 16949:2002 1st Edition released in 1999, was based on ISO 9001:1994. To emphasize continuous improvement in the supplier base, the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) later revised the ISO/TS 16949:1999 requirements to align with the ISO 9001:2000 framework. more...
