ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor Training for the Automotive Sector (ISO/TS 16949:2002) (RABQSA-Certified)

IRCA - International Register of Certificated AuditorsThis training course and certificate of attainment is recognized by IRCA as meeting the requirement for IRCA certification to ISO 9000:2000 Series Auditor/Lead Auditor course (IRCA/2245).

Seminar Content

This is Omnex’s flagship course for auditors and is recommended for senior auditors who have (1) already taken an internal auditor course and, (2) have performed as auditors in a significant number of internal audits. It will take internal auditors still unsure of their skills and transform them into confident internal audit practitioners and leaders. This class tests the skills of an auditor in all areas critical to the automotive sector, including APQP, MSA, PPAP, SPC and FMEA. The class makes students aware of “what they do not know”, and then teaches it to them.

Each key auditing technique, including document review, readiness review, audit planning, performing the audit, assessing effectiveness in practice, and generating audit reports, is covered at least three times. Auditors uncover mistakes in their understanding of both auditing technique and ISO/TS 16949:2002, providing enough time and training to help them avoid significant errors in the conduct of future audits.

The course provides over 100 examples of nonconformity identification. Three large case studies cover the entire audit process, spanning scope definition, audit planning, conducting the audit, nonconformity writing, and audit reporting. Among other things, the class tests auditor skills in auditing customer expectations, management review, objectives deployment, performance measurement, resource planning, product realization and manufacturing processes (including SPC and MSA concepts and continual improvement).

While extremely challenging, this course consistently earns the very highest student satisfaction ratings.

About ISO/TS 16949:2002 - The International Quality System Standard for Automotive Suppliers
ISO/TS 16949:2002 specified the quality system requirements for the design / development, production, and (where relevant) installation and servicing of automotive related products. The ISO/TS 16949:2002 1st Edition released in 1999, was based on ISO 9001:1994. To emphasize continuous improvement in the supplier base, the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) later revised the ISO/TS 16949:1999 requirements to align with the ISO 9001:2000 framework. more...
