Product and Process Auditing for ISO/TS 16949:2009
Seminar Content
This is a two-day course for auditors who need to conduct the manufacturing process and product audits on the plant floor as required by ISO/TS 16949:2009. The first half of the day includes auditing fundamentals including performance- based audit planning, conducting the audit, writing nonconformities and closing meeting. The second day of the audit examines a customizable plant floor manufacturing-based process/product checklist. What does the checklist mean? How do you sample? How do you ensure shop floor standardization? For Chrysler suppliers, on the second day Omnex can cover the use of layered audits and the use of layered auditing for process and product audits as well. This class shows organizations how to combine layered audits with manufacturing process audits and how to conduct product and process audits simultaneously with the same auditors.
The course includes practical, hands on plant floor auditing, writing of nonconformities and audit reporting. This is a great class for those interested in auditing the shop floor.

This workshop requires participants to closely examine their operations and identify the gaps in the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation used to plan the shop floor controls. Internal audits need to examine the workings of the QMS. They should concentrate on the key processes as documented in procedures and work instructions. This workshop will establish the methodology for conducting these audits.

About ISO/TS 16949:2009
ISO/TS 16949:2009 specified the quality system requirements for the design / development,
production, and (where relevant) installation and servicing of automotive related
products. The ISO/TS 16949:2009 1st Edition released in 1999, was based on ISO 9001:1994.
To emphasize continuous improvement in the supplier base, the International Automotive
Task Force (IATF) later revised the ISO/TS 16949:1999 requirements to align with
the ISO 9001:2008 framework.
