Understanding, Documenting and Implementing ISO/TS 16949:2002 (Second Edition)

This three-day (or two-day) seminar provides a comprehensive approach to understanding, documenting and implementing Best-In-Class Quality Management Systems to the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/TS 16949:2002. The presentation and hands on exercises focus on the automotive or semiconductor sector-specific approaches in ISO/TS 16949:2002 in particular the automotive process approach and the use of Process Maps, Turtle Diagrams and Process Flow documentation as well as specific strategies for making the transition from QS-9000/TS-16949 1st Edition
Who Should Attend
ISO/TS 16949 Implementation Teams, General Managers, Senior Functional Managers, Management Representatives, leaders with an international automotive or semiconductor customer base and an understanding of ISO 9000, QS-9000 or TS 16949, and anyone with responsibility for documenting, implementing and /or maintaining a QMS to ISO/TS 16949 2nd Edition.
Recommended Training and/or Experience
Participants should possess a working knowledge of, as well as some experience in, ISO-based quality management systems.

- Familiarize participants with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/TS 16949 2nd Edition.

- Show how ISO 9001:2000 is supplemented by automotive sector specific approaches and requirements.
- Address strategies and practices improving enterprise performance by the effective implementation of ISO/TS 16949 2nd Edition.
- Review documentation requirements and Best-in-Class approaches.
- Understand the impact of ISO/TS 16949:2002 on Product Development and Launch (APQP)

ISO/TS 16949:2002 specified the quality system requirements for the design / development, production, and (where relevant) installation and servicing of automotive related products. The ISO/TS 16949:2002 1st Edition released in 1999, was based on ISO 9001:1994. To emphasize continuous improvement in the supplier base, the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) later revised the ISO/TS 16949:1999 requirements to align with the ISO 9001:2000 framework. more...
