Understanding Requirements of TRWA BPM & ISO/TS 16949:2002

For general practitioners of business systems (non-auditors). Covers the transition from current standards (QS-9000, VDA, ISO/TS16949:1999 to ISO/TS16949:2002. This is an overview training to give the essentials, with emphasis placed on an understanding of the TRWA BPM and process management. Highlights of major changes in standards. 1 day seminar.
* Shortened (2 hr.), electronic version of this class planned for general and new employee introduction (not to replace on-site full day class for those attendees indicated).
Who Should Attend
- Upper Management: TRWA Staff, Regional/ Product Group Staff, Location (Plant/Support Office) Staff
- Process Owners & Team Members: (If these are not yet identified, select) Current Line Management, Other Selected Process "Levers"
- Those with responsibility to implement and maintain the BMS: Management Reps, QS Coordinators, Quality Managers
- All employees not listed in other categories. Particularly for "new hires".
Recommended Training and/or Experience
Participants should possess a working knowledge of, as well as some experience in ISO-based quality management systems. Must be well-versed in TRW Quality Systems and the content of the Business Policy Manual and the website http://www.livmi.trw.com/e-qms/

- Elevate awareness level of ISO/TS 16949:2002 2nd Edition.
- Familiarize participants with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/TS 16949:2002 2nd Edition.
- Show how ISO 9001:2000 is supplemented by automotive sector specific approaches and requirements.
- Address strategies and practices for the effective implementation of ISO/TS-16949 2nd Edition.
- Review documentation requirements and approaches.
- Explain the Code of Practice of Quality Systems Registrar
- Understand the impact of ISO/TS 16949:2002 on Product Development and Launch
