Measurement Systems Analysis ( MSA )
Seminar Content
This two-day seminar is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the importance of MSA in controlling and improving the production process and to give students a practical knowledge of using statistical methods in analyzing the measurement system.
This seminar is consistent with the DCX, Ford GM manual Measurement Systems Analysis, 3rd edition.
Who Should Attend
Quality Managers, Quality System and Lab Technicians, Management Representatives, those interested in auditing MSA, and those who are responsible for planning, using and maintaining measurement systems. Engineers and individuals responsible for process improvements should also attend.
Recommended Training and/or Experience
A basic understanding of computational mathematics, a partial understanding of elementary applied statistics, and a basic background in statistical process control are important.
Seminar Materials
Each participant will receive a seminar manual, including workbook and all team exercise materials.
Please bring a calculator.
Seminar Goals
To define and understand a measurement system and the causes of variation therein; to be able to qualify the sources of variation. To be able to analyze this data to improve the measurement system, design or choose appropriate systems for measurement, data collection and use. To maintain these measurement systems over the life of the manufacturing process they are used with.
