Integrating ISO 9001:2000, ISO/TS 16949, and the Semiconductor Supplement

Seminar Content

The Semiconductor Industry and Semiconductor Assembly Council has adopted Quality Systems that integrate ISO 9001:2000, ISO/TS 16949, and the Semiconductor Supplement. This three-day course will cover the overall intent and content of these standards. It will discuss each element and provide guidance in understanding and implementing it. The seminar includes extensive breakout work.

Who Should Attend

QS/TS Semiconductor Implementation Teams, General Managers, Management Representatives or anyone who will have an impact on the implementation of QS/TS Semiconductor Supplement should attend.

Recommended Training and/or Experience

Some knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 and /or TS-16949 is recommended.
Note: there will be some overlap between this class and other Omnex ISO 9001:2000 training.

  • Understanding ISO/TS 16949:2002 and the Semiconductor Supplement
  • ISO/TS 16949-Semiconductor Supplement Elements Explained
  • ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 9001:2000 Auditing Practices
  • Implementation and Documentation

Day3

  • Implementing QOS
  • Documentation of Processes - Process Review
  • Integrating ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 9001:2000
  • Integrating ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001:2000 and Excellence Awards
  • Documentation and Implementation Requirements for ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 9001:2000

About ISO/TS 16949:2002 - The International Quality System Standard for Automotive Suppliers
ISO/TS 16949:2002 specified the quality system requirements for the design / development, production, and (where relevant) installation and servicing of automotive related products. The ISO/TS 16949:2002 1st Edition released in 1999, was based on ISO 9001:1994. To emphasize continuous improvement in the supplier base, the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) later revised the ISO/TS 16949:1999 requirements to align with the ISO 9001:2000 framework. more...
