MSA 4th Edition is Here - What You Need to Know About the Changes
|
The AIAG has recently released a new revision to the Measurement System Analysis
(MSA) reference manual. As you know, the MSA manual is intended to provide guidelines
for assessing the quality of a measurement system. While this manual is used primarily
in the automotive industry, the guidelines that are presented can be applied to
any measurement system, regardless of the industry in which it is used.
MSA 4th Edition has made improvements across many fronts. In addition to the inclusion
of examples that help in the understanding of basic measurement system fundamentals,
the following changes have been made:
- Clarifications on the relationship between calibration and MSA
- Clear definition
of the measurement decision
- Improvements to the Bias and Linearity sections
-
Advanced MSA techniques (such as Destructive Testing) have been re-written
In order to familarize you with the changes and get up to speed as soon as possible,
Omnex has prepared a free, one-hour webinar summarizing the main changes in MSA
4th edition. This webinar will be hosted by Greg Gruska, who is on the AIAG writing
committee for the MSA, SPC and FMEA reference manuals. Don't miss your chance to
learn about the MSA 4th edition changes from one of its authors, register for this
free webinar today! The following topics will be covered:
- Bias/Linearity Studies
- Based on standard deviation
