Understanding and Implementing ISO/IEC 17025:2005
Seminar Content
This new standard aligns and harmonizes ISO/IEC 17025:1999 with ISO 9001:2000. The training incorporates and explains the amendments to clauses where ISO determined that such changes were necessary. The technical requirements for laboratories who provide testing and calibration services are enhanced by the use of management systems that incorporate the requirements of ISO 9001:2000.
The acceptance of testing and calibration results between countries and industries should be facilitated if laboratories want to comply with this International Standard. The use of this standard will facilitate cooperation between laboratories and other bodies and assist in the exchange of information and experience, standards and procedures. 2-Day Seminar

ISO/IEC 17025:2005 has been revised to align the ISO 17025:1999 version with ISO 9001:2000. Thus, ISO harmonized lab system accreditation by recognizing the ISO 9001:2000 standard as the basis for sound management of lab systems. This is now found in Clause 4 of ISO/IEC 17025. ISO/IEC 17025:1999 replaced ISO/IEC Guide 25:1990 & EN 45001:1989 as the contemporary standard to be adhered to by all testing & calibration laboratories. It integrated the requirements of ISO 9001 & 9002(1994) & embodied the extensive experience gained over a time span of 10 years of lab systems implementation. more...
