Develop and implement a Quality Management system that would meet or exceed the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and all organizational objectives.
Omnex was retained to provide training, process development and documentation, deployment and effective implementation of a management system meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, in a project initiated before the formal publication of the new standard.
Key corporate objectives were effective implementation of a project management system, streamlining and optimizing of design process, more effective control of documents and data, reduction of delays, rework and design modification. The organization also wanted to develop better human resources management systems.
All organizational objectives were met, including certification to ISO 9001:2000 on the basis of the initial on-site audit.
ISO 9001:2000 is part of the ISO 9000 family of standards. This family is comprised of the following: ISO 9000 quality management systems fundamentals and vocabulary, ISO 9001 quality management systems requirements, ISO 9004 quality management systems guidance for performance improvement, ISO 19011 Guidelines on quality and/or environmental management systems auditing. more...
