Executive Overview of ISO 26262: Functional Safety Management System

This one-day course is designed to provide your company’s Executive Management Team with a general understanding of the ISO 26262 standard, and to provide the information necessary make informed decisions regarding the implementation of a Functional Safety Management System that conforms to ISO 26262:2011.
ISO 26262 is a Functional Safety standard titled "Road vehicles -- Functional Safety". It has recently been approved and is scheduled to be published before the end of 2011. This is standard is an adaptation of the Functional Safety standard IEC 61508 for the specifics of Automotive Electric/Electronic Systems. It is to be applied to Safety Related Systems that include one or more E/E systems that are installed in production passenger cars with a maximum gross vehicle mass up to 3,500 kg
Who Should Attend
Executive Management, System, Software and hardware engineers, managers responsible for the development and implementation of systems, software and hardware in a motor vehicle.
Recommended Training and/or Experience
Students should be involved in or aware of software and hardware development as it relates to the motor vehicle industry.
