(New) ISO/TS 16949 Automotive Supply Chain Management
On March 9, Mr. Dan Reid, Director of Consulting, Omnex spoke at the 2015 World Conference on ISO 9000 in Houston, Texas on ISO/TS 16949 Automotive Supply Chain Management. At the request of the Conference Committee, he was also the session monitor for the Conference track on "Risk Based Thinking and the ISO 9001:2015 Revision" and he lead a luncheon discussion on Integrated Management Systems. The annual conference is presented by the American Quality Institute and American Society for Quality and is the longest running Conference on ISO standards. Integrated Risk Management for QEHS Presentation
Chad Kymal was invited to speak at NOSH CON, thelargest Health, Safety and Environmental Risk Conference in Africa,held by NOSA in Central Drakensberg, South Africa on August25-28, 2009.Chad presented an important paper on Integrated Risk Analysis forQuality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ISO 9001,ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001). Integrated Risk Analysis is the ability ofcompanies to integrate various risk assessments using one commontool and format (i.e., FMEA). Chad co-wrote this paper with GregGruska. This paper discusses how the use of a commonformat and standardized risk tables lead to providing managementa risk assessment number that is common and consistent in ratingand prioritizing Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety risks.
The paper further extends the calculation of risk to common departments,processes and productsbased on identifying Process andProduct families. It also addresses using Enterprise Software toaccomplish this task. (Click here to view this presentation...)

ASQ Columbus Risk Management Presentation
Chad Kymal visited the ASQ Columbus Chapter in March 2011 and conducted a presentation on Aerospace Quality and Risk Management. This presentation discusses the key changes to AS9100 Revision C and in particular the requirement for Risk Management. It looks at the Risk Management process that is popularly being embraced by major players in the Aerospace industry, including the use of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control, Measurements Systems Analysis and an enhanced First Article Inspection (FAI) process. The methodologies used, and the challenges and the savings they represent are presented along with the integration of risk management processes between Quality, Environmental, and Health and Safety risks.
