After a fantastic performance last year in the traditional automotive industry and
doubling its operations, this year saw Omnex India operations evolve beyond its
traditional offerings. Ever since Omnex India started their operations in 1995,
over 85% of their revenues came in from the automotive industry as the major base.
To date, now Omnex' clientele in India has reached a whopping 934 clients from various
industries. During the latter half of 2004, Omnex India made significant forays
into a variety of sectors including Oil and Natural Gas, FMCG, Retail, Telecommunication
and IT/ ITES segments. Some of the new relationships that formed or were strengthened
in 2004 include those with GAIL (India) Ltd., Pantaloon Retail India, Karvy Global
Services, Vizag Steel Plant, America Online (AOL India) and The Coca-Cola Company.
Meanwhile Omnex India continues to dominate the automotive industry by adding prestigious
client accounts such as Hero Motors, Asian-PPG, and Mahindra & Mahindra to its client
list.

ISO 26262 Training for Automotive Hardware and Software Safety Coming to the U.S.
A new upcoming standard (ISO 26262 - Road Vehicles - Functional Safety) was developed to comply with the needs specific to the application sector of E/E systems within motor vehicles. This standard is currently available as an FDIS in 10 parts and is already being applied worldwide in order to develop safe vehicles.
