
Zero Defects with Poka-yoke (Mistake Proofing)
Workshop Content
This 1-day Workshop will provide an overview of the Poka-yoke system, discuss the
relationship between Poka-yoke and quality system standards and introduce the concept
of Zero Quality Control. After that, the Workshop will move into a detailed look
at Poka-yoke strategies and the Poka-yoke toolbox. Mistake Proofing Examples and
Exercises will be provided. A second day can be added to this workshop for those
who wish to receive guided practice applying Mistake Proofing to address real process
quality issues requires access to production facility and personnel.
Who Should Attend
Those people who are responsible for managing the corrective action and quality
improvement functions within their organizations.
Prerequisites
Working knowledge of PFMEA, problem solving and continual improvement methodologies.
Workshop Materials
Each participant will receive a Workshop manual.
Workshop Goals
Provide participants with knowledge of, and the ability to effectively employ, techniques
and methodologies for the systemic reduction and/or elimination of product and process
failures.
