Omnex Seminar Leader Initial Certification

1. When a potential Instructor is employed or selected to teach (a) specific subject(s), the CTO, Product Champion(s) and/ or Office Manager will establish an Instructor Certification plan based on the consultant's anticipated initial assignments (selected training products based on qualifications and company/client requirements).

2. The potential Instructor attends and completes a session seminar for which the individual is to be certified. Based on the qualifications of the potential instructor, and their level of knowledge with the subject matter, they can then proceed to sit through a second class and/or co teach the topic they are being certified for.

3. The potential Instructor then co-teaches the seminar with a senior or lead instructor at least once, presenting all segments of the course designated by the Senior Instructor during this session. The Product Champion, the CTO or his designee will evaluate this presentation, then complete FO0063, Instructor Certification Form. Based on the expertise of the potential instructor they may be deemed in a “probationary status” where they can teach the subject. However, to be removed from probation, instructors have to teach an entire seminar as in defined in 5.1.4.

a) Not every instructor can be in a probationary status. The potential instructor may be asked to co teach one more course or they may elect to teach one more course based on their comfort level.

b) Office Manager will coordinate a pre-meeting between potential instructor and senior or lead instructor, and provide an introduction prior to the start of a seminar. The senior or lead instructor will be made aware of the potential instructor current status, (attending for the first time, co-teaching for the first time, etc.). The senior or lead instructor will be responsible for reviewing the course syllabus with the potential instructor, and will formulate a plan with regard to co-teaching certain portions of the seminar.

4. Based upon successful Instructor Evaluations and positive Seminar Evaluation the candidate then teaches the entire seminar under the guidance and evaluation of a senior or lead instructor. (This requirement may be waived for courses, which, as a matter of policy or contract, are normally co-taught).

5. Records of course and instructor evaluations are maintained in the training records file, along with a resume; Exemplar Global, IRCA or equivalent auditor credentials or audit experience logs for non-auditors; copies of instructor certification for Exemplar Global courses and copies of certificates of course attendance, as required by the Exemplar rules for Instructor qualifications.

6. The contents of the Instructors’ training files are updated at least once a year by the training certification committee and verified during scheduled internal audits.

7. Certification is granted to the candidate on the recommendation of the Product Champion or Lead Instructor and the approval of the CTO or his designee for each training product for which these requirements have successfully been met.
