ISO 9001:2000 Internal Auditor Training for the Automotive Sector (ISO/TS 16949:2002)(RABQSA-Certified)
This training course and certificate of attainment is recognized by IRCA as meeting the requirement for IRCA certification to Internal QMS Auditor course (IRCA/2180) + ISO 9000:2000 Series Foundation course (IRCA/2001).
Seminar Content
3 Days. This course is certified by RABQSA, and meets the training portion of the requirements for certification of individual QMS Internal auditors. This three-day RABQSA certified seminar explains ISO 9001:2000, ISO/TS 16949:2002 and their impact on audit systems, the auditing process and audit instruments. Participants will learn the documentation process, how to conduct an audit, write the audit report, and take corrective action. The Omnex Internal Auditor training provides one day of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/TS 16949:2002 audit trails and guidance on each element of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/TS 16949:2002. The class is built around a case study, which includes auditing PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Management Review. Also included are case studies to develop skills for identifying nonconformance. We meet new Ford customer-specific requirements for TS Internal Auditor Training. Choose to register for the optional 4th day and get these requirements. We'll also cover more general customer-specific requirements for GM and DiamlerChrysler, TS 16949 core tools, a hands-on exercise about readiness review and the audit plan.

Prerequisites
Understanding & Implementing for ISO/TS 16949:2002 or equivalent.

Each participant will receive a seminar manual including case studies and a guide for auditing all requirements of the Standards' requirements.

Course Methodology
- Breakout Exercises
- The class will be divided into two or more teams of three to six people. The objective is to provide diversified auditing experience on each team.
- The purpose of breakout exercises is to develop skills important to the audit process by having individuals or teams working on practical situations, such as evaluating a particular quality management system for conformance to ISO/TS 16949:2002, or conducting quality manual reviews.
- Individual Presentations
- Each attendee will have opportunities to make brief, prepared oral presentations. A registered auditor must be able to communicate effectively both orally (auditor, auditee, team leader, opening and closing meeting participant) and in writing (checklists, pre-audit planning, recording observations and nonconformities, audit report).
- Evaluation of Individual Participation
- Attendees will be evaluated on class participation, which encompasses the following aspects:
- Asking meaningful questions in class
- Sharing professional auditing experiences
- Taking an active role in team exercises
- Engaging in effective role-playing
- Effective class participation provides the attendee with opportunities to demonstrate practical understanding of the many audit principles
- Graded Exercises
- Graded exercises will be given to test understanding of subject matter discussed that day. Questions will be multiple choice or short essay style.
- Role-Playing
- Participants will have the opportunity to play the role of auditor/auditee, or lead auditor/lead auditee in simulated audit situations previously discussed in the classroom.
- Final Exam
- This is a two hour open book examination consisting of multiple choice, short narrative and several essay questions. The exam is designed to test auditees’ judgment and understanding of auditing principles and practices as applied to the ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 series guidelines and requirements. Participants will be able to use all materials supplied during the class for the final exam, specifically:
- Student Personal Notes (from seminar)
- Daily exercises
- ISO/TS 16949:2002 specification
- Course textbook
- AIAG or equivalent reference material
Final Exam: No other materials are allowed
