Position: Industrial Engineers
Position Type: Contract (6 months with possibility of extensions)
Location: Ann Arbor, with frequent travel (up to weeks at a time) to Houston, Texas (expenses paid)
Job Description and Duties:
Rebalance multiple assembly lines to achieve labor savings and increase production
throughput through evaluation of existing equipment, processes and personnel. The
position requires an experienced manufacturing/process engineer in vehicle assembly
who is familiar with the latest manufacturing techniques, standards, tools and processes.
Improvements will be made through redistribution of work, implementing productivity
enhancing tools and process and improved part presentation and delivery. Main Job
site is located out of state and will require extensive travel with weekend stays.
Candidates must be US Citizens.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering with 5+ years in vehicle manufacturing.
Experience conducting time studies, productivity improvements and line balancing
a must. Material distribution and warehouse management experience is a plus. 5S,
Lean, Kaizan and Six Sigma certifications with experience will benefit applicants.
