Process Review and APQP

This three day seminar deals with the concept of Process review and its links to APQP and QS-9000. Process Review is a generic tool that can be applied to any industry, including service industries. Process Review can be used during new product launches and to solve problems encountered with existing products. This is a very important tool that can be used for implementing clause 4.9 of QS-9000.

Seminar Outline

Process review (First two days)

The first two days will deal in detail the following:

  • Feasibility and Contract review
  • Process flow
  • Process FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
  • Control Plans
  • Work instructions development
  • Product and Process validation
  • How QOS (Quality Operating System) and Process review are linked

There will be 5 breakout sessions giving the participants a hands-on exposure to the use of these tools.

  • APQP - Discussion on four phases
  • How to plan for product launch/modification using APQP process
  • Program Manager’s responsibilities
  • APQP status reporting
  • Risk assessment techniques
  • APQP status evaluation - GYR rating
  • Focus element checklists and its evaluation

1.Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

The first two days also deal with establishing the logical links the above tools which applied in a proper way will result in good product quality
