About Omnex Quality Academy

The Omnex Quality Academy (OQA) is headquartered out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, the home town of the prestigious University of Michigan, and it is part of the Omnex group of companies who operate in 8 countries. Omnex, a well-known name in business and quality management consulting and implementation, formed the Omnex Quality Academy to help both industry and new graduates gain practical knowledge of the world of Business, Quality and Operations research.

The Academy was created to bring together two facets of every business:

• Implementing high quality processes internally
• Enabling the workforce to continuously learn and upgrade their knowledge skills and hiring a workforce that knows much more than just book-knowledge.

The academy has already taught over 1000 students and boasts faculty members who are industry experts from various parts of the globe. Courses are currently offered in English, Spanish, Thai and Chinese in a variety of disciplines.

Now for the first time, The Academy is spreading its wings and starting operations in Asia. The Asian headquarters for the Omnex Quality Academy will be Chennai, on the I.T. Corridor. The Academy boasts a full work area of 10,000 sqft. and already is operational.

Each course you attend is taught with an international perspective, with emphasis on management, operations, quality improvement, change management, auditing, strategy and decision-making.

Methodology

The methodology adopted by the Omnex Quality Academy is practical and project-based. It is designed to produce world class experts in their respective fields. Lectures, group seminars and practical project-based studies create knowledge experts. We ensure that each class consists of no more than 12 students. Case studies shared during programs and assignments are the accumulated knowledge of 20 years' experience which Omnex has gained from business interactions in over 29 countries and with 32,000 clients. For select courses, projects that are utilized come from specific industries.

Onsite Recruitment

The Industry Interaction Cell of Omnex Quality Academy will ensure that candidates are placed in successful multinational companies in India or abroad. The companies will be visiting our campus to recruit participants by end of the course. Omnex Quality Academy has already received the requirements from the Industries for trained manpower.

Candidates get benefit by gaining senior management experience. For example, during a 1 year part-time course you will spend at least 30% of your program time working in groups and on group projects. What's more, for select groups these projects come from sponsor companies across industry sectors.

New graduates have a chance to work on actual projects for actual companies in a business setting.

Each course has its own specific assessment criteria that are set by the academy. On the most basic level, this includes periodic reviews by the faculty, assignments, project work and final exams. Successfull candidates are awarded certificates upon completion of the training battery.
